Alive After Five

3rd Thursdays, 5:45 – 8:30 p.m. (May 21, June 18, July 16, August 13, September 17)

Come out with friends and a lawn chair to enjoy the music downtown. Soak up the afternoon sun, dance ’til you drop, or just sit back and watch! It’s a great event for the whole family to enjoy…and it’s free!  Gates open and DJ Robert Stroud of the Boogie Shoes Network begins at 5:00 pm, and all concerts begin at 5:45 pm and last until 8:30 pm. Food and beverages will be available from our vendors.  This event is held at the Clinton City Market parking lot at 215 Lisbon Street in Clinton.

Court Square Street Fair and Barbecue Cook-Off 

Saturday October 10, 2015. 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Mark you calendars for Saturday, October 10, 2015.  Downtown Clinton’s largest annual event will take place – The Court Square Street Fair and Barbecue Cook-Off.  This year marks the 29th year of the event, and thanks to our growing constellation of partners, this year’s event will be the biggest and best yet!  Please see the event’s tab under ‘2015 Events’ for more information.

Halloween on the Square 

October 31st, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m

Come join us for the 4th Annual Halloween on the Square!  This years event will feature a pumpkin carving contest, trunk or treat candy giveaway, costume contest, ghost hunt, and great live music.  For more information about this event, please contact Betty Holland at (910) 299-4904.

Christmas in the City

5:30 – p:00 p.m.

This annual event features a community tree lighting, carriage and hay rides around Downtown, Santa on the Courthouse Square, **New Santa’s Workshop, live Christmas music at 2 separate venues (City Market and Courthouse Square), a Holiday Beverage Tour at select Downtown businesses, and Snowzilla Junior, a 30 foot tall 90 foot long snow tube slide fun for all ages. Entries from the Sampson Arts Council’s gingerbread house decorating contest are on display, and children are encouraged to come decorate a gingerbread treat of their own.  This years event will also feature newly crowned Miss North Carolina who will be performing, taking pictures, and signing autographs.

Christmas in Clinton Parade

Come and enjoy home-made floats, professional floats, classic cars, new cars, area Queens and Little Misses, clowns, bands, dancers, and of course Santa Claus! Enjoy the Christmas spirit at the Christmas in Clinton Parade. Bring your family to enjoy the parade that begins at the Exposition Center and goes through downtown Clinton.
